9260 Shobu-Zukuri Katanas

Shobu Zukuri translates to "Iris (leaf) construction". They are so named because the tip of the sword resembles the shape of the iris leaf... (thin and slender).

Technically, the Shobu Zukuri katanas has the shinogi (ridge on the sides of the sword) running the entire length of the sword, and has no yokote or kissaki. However, the more common varient is to have the shinogi end just before the tip of the sword by a few millimeters.

We have created both varients of the Shobu Zukuri katana so you can have your choice. The first (Ayame) has the shinogi running the full length of the blade to the very tip of the sword. The second (Kurome) is the more common varient with the shinogi ending just before the tip.
